Lumban Embroidery with Piñaflor

Lumban is known as the "Embroidery Capital of the Philippines". The art of hand-embroidering Barong and Saya has been the main specialty of the residents of Lumban.

Piñaflor, an embroidery business in Lumban, continues to support hand-embroidery and the use of piña fiber in making traditional Filipino wedding dress.  Nowadays, most designers would use modern gown fabric but Dra. Rhodora Peñaflor Añonuevo has chosen to preserve this tradition.

Get to know more about the excellence of Lumban embroidery with Piñaflor as Dra. Añonuevo invites us to mingle with them on June 30, 2011. Tourist officers from Bulacan will also be there to share with us this experience.

The business was also featured in I love Pinas/ I love Piña of the ZOE Broadcasting Network.
